Clients always ask, “what’s the biggest bang for my buck?”
They want to know whether to invest in PPC, SEO, Social Media, etc. with their finite marketing budget.
But no one ever asks where they should invest, as in geographically.
And right now the place to invest marketing dollars is in Canada.
That’s because the Canadian dollar is low.
Right now $1 US dollar will buy you $1.31 Canadian dollars.
That’s 30% more bang for your buck.
How is that affecting advertising?
Take a look at the chart below.
I took five highly competitive Google AdWords keywords and compared the average Cost Per Click (CPC) in the US, and average CPC in Canada (both measured in US dollars).
As you can see, the CPC in Canada is significantly lower in every case, which also means that your Cost Per Lead (CPL) will be too.
Especially if your business sells online or is a software or Saas-based product, you can be acquiring customers in Canada at a much lower rate than in the US.
Makes sense, doesn’t it?
